A sixth generation Idahoan, Jared is a second-generation Idaho developer/builder. The Sherburne family has always proudly placed their name on their superlative projects and communities. Jared's grandfather owned a respected floorcovering business in Twin Falls, and Jared's mother, Debbie, is a talented designer who introduced Jared to construction at a young age, remodeling every Sherburne family home.
Jared's formal construction career began in 1991. Working in diverse facets of the trades, he was blessed to be hired by Mike Marrs of The Marrs Company in 1996. Mike and his team were valuable mentors for several years before Jared launched his custom home building company in 1998. Debbie was his exclusive designer, creating sought-after home designs with breathtaking finishes.
An excellent communication and organizational system developed by Jared ensures the execution and completion of Sherburne-Marrs projects on budget and on time. He is fully involved in all concepts, designs and construction of each custom home: working with the team and clients on plan designs, developing and tracking budgets, maintaining project schedules, and managing construction through project completion. Jared's management skills allow him to handle multiple priorities and keep critical tasks at the forefront and serviced effectively.
During his career, Jared has built over 165 top quality custom homes in many of the premier subdivisions in the Treasure Valley, including the Shores, Two Rivers, Lakemoor, Rivers End, Mace River Ranch, SpurWing Estates, Lakeside Retreats at Legacy, SpurWing Heights and more.
Jared has a beautiful, loving wife who spearheads the important responsibility of raising their two sons and three daughters. He loves spending his family time watching the couple's children sing, dance and play sports.
Desiree is a native Boisean whose family ventured beyond the City of Trees when she was a little girl. During her time away from Idaho, she lived the big city life in Ft. Worth, Portland, Denver, and Salt Lake City. After 18 years, she returned to her beloved hometown in 2002 to raise her two young daughters.
Sherburne-Marrs' office manager since 2014, Desiree is the company's inner cog, ensuring sure all runs smoothly. Detail oriented and amiable, her responsibilities include building and tracking job budgets, creating and tracking change orders and work orders, delivering job documents to clients, subcontractors and suppliers, and much more. She has 10 years previous experience in the title and escrow world, as well as several years in the restaurant business where she was a bookkeeper and office manager.
Desiree loves soaking up the sun and being on the water, so on any given summer day when she is not managing our office, you can find her and her husband on their boat at Lucky Peak Reservoir.
Project & Customer Services
Rick is an Idaho native who has lived in the Treasure Valley his entire life. He entered the construction profession in 1998, working for a roofing contractor, transitioning to the framing trade, and eventually owning and operating his own remodeling and addition company for more than 10 years. A gifted carpenter and journeyman framer, Rick's keen eye and attention to detail, which perfects every project, is gleaned from his experience in many facets of construction.
Jared and Rick first started working together in 2006, under a general and subcontractor relationship. After several years of persuasion, in 2015 Jared proudly brought Rick on board full-time with Sherburne-Marrs. As Project & Customer Service Specialist, Rick's responsibilities include subcontractor coordination, framing quality certification and running the jobs from the start of construction through drywall, then helping Bill prepare the homes for delivery.
Rick, his wife, and their three sons love camping, riding dirt bikes and UTVs, hunting and playing softball.
Amy is a native Idahoan who has lived in Southern Idaho her entire life, other than two years of service in the Navy. Sherburne-Marrs' Design Specialist since 2015, Amy is an inventive, award-winning designer who devotes great thought and care into ensuring each home Sherburne-Marrs creates is distinctive—and every design element reflects each unique client.
Amy caught the design bug at a very young age helping her mom, a well-known interior designer in the Treasure Valley for 30 years. Amy devoted 20+ years to the tile industry, then she ventured out on her own to start up her own interior design business before joining Sherburne-Marrs.
She can be found hiking in the hills, walking on the greenbelt, fishing, and hunting with her husband and, of course, her trusty miniature adventure dog, Bean, whom she (almost) loves more than her husband. She enjoys spending time with her daughters, daughter in-law and sons, or simply relaxing at home.
